Local Sheriff’s Office Men Showcase Their Talents
at Lupus Foundation Charity Event

 

WEST PALM BEACH, Fl - March 28th, 2010 – Mark your calendars, because it’s that time of year again! “Models of Success”, the charity fashion show which benefits the Southeast Florida Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America, will be hitting the runway this September 16th. “Models of Success” is not your average fashion show. This one-of-a-kind fashion show will feature breathtaking attire from Bloomingdales Palm Beach Gardens, handsomely modeled by the outstanding men from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office.

In addition to enjoying eye-pleasing fashions, those attending the “Models of Success” fashion show will also enjoy a buffet dinner and have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction. The event will take place on September 16, at 5:30 p.m., at B.B. King’s Blue Club at City Place, West Palm Beach.

The event is being chaired by Event Chair, Dr. Maureen Whelihan, a board certified OB/GYN who has been practicing in both West Palm Beach and Wellington since 1997. Dr. Whelihan currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the Palm Beach County Medical Society and the Florida OBGYN Society. In addition to serving as a volunteer physician for the Palm Beach County Project Access program since 2006, Dr. Whelihan has been awarded a spot in “The Top Doctors in the United States” and also “America’s Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists”, as well as being honored by The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Other committee members include:  Michelle Bacon and David Prather, Lytal, Reiter, Clark Fountain & Williams; Therese Barbera, PBSO; Kimberly Duncan; Gail Eissey; Captain Carol Gregg, PBSO; Monte Lambert, Forte Interactive; Don Massetti and James Rota, Dazzle Creative Events; Clara Mayo; Harvey E. Additional fashion show V.I.P.’s include Honorary Chair Sheriff Ric Bradshaw of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and Tim Byrd, “The Byrdman”, host of the Byrd’s Eye View television show.

Proceeds from the “Models of Success” fashion show will benefit The Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Chapter, allowing them to continually serve the medical community and residents of South Florida. The nation’s leading nonprofit voluntary health organization, The Lupus Foundation of America is dedicated to finding the causes of and cure for lupus and providing support and services to all people affected by lupus.
