Achieve Remarkable Results with No Need to Rewrite Your Will

If you feel it is an appropriate or necessary time to revise your will or living trust, please consider supporting the Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida Chapter.  Otherwise, we would ask you to consider some straightforward options that you can do to help us meet some of our most compelling needs facing those impacted by lupus today and for generations to come.

Utilize a Life Insurance Policy:  Take a moment to contact your life insurance agent and request a “beneficiary designation form” and by naming the Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida Chapter as all or part of the proceeds, you will save lives.

Utilize a Bank or Brokerage Account:  It is not at all complicated to title or (re-title) a bank account as POD (payable on death) to the Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida Chapter.  Furthermore, you have the flexibility to title or (re-title) a brokerage account or stock certificate as TOD (transfer on death) to our chapter.

Utilize a Retirement Plan:  It is quite simple to name the Lupus Foundation of America, Southeast Florida Chapter as the beneficiary of some or all of the assets remaining in your IRA 401(k) or any other eligible retirement plan after your lifetime on the “beneficiary designation form” offered by your plan coordinator.  Something you may not be aware of is that there is ALSO a unique opportunity explained below in 2007 for individuals who are 70 ½ years or older to create DIRECT, TAX-FREE allocations from IRAs to charities such as ours.
