A Chronically Sweet Affair

Featuring Keynote Speaker, Christine Miserandino, author of The Spoon Theory

The Lupus Foundation of America’s Southeast Florida Chapter is hosting its 1st Annual Valentine’s event, A Chronically Sweet Affair, for those living with a chronic illness and their loved ones.

This free event will be held at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts on Saturday, February 12 from 1:30-3pm and will feature guest speaker Christine Miserandino, author of The Spoon Theory. The Spoon Theory was written by Christine in an attempt to explain to a friend what it is like to live with a chronic illness. Christine Miserandino is an award-winning writer, blogger, speaker and patient advocate from NY. She also happens to be someone who is living with a chronic illness, Lupus. Her writing has been featured in numerous national newspapers, magazines, medical newsletters and television media.

Local businesses are donating giveaways, raffle prizes and light beverages and snacks.  Anyone living with a chronic illness and their caregivers are encouraged to attend.
